gods & goddess'

Odin- God of Vikings and leader of the Aesir. He also had many more alias' and functions of being a god, but they won't be mentioned. He watched over the Einherjar the Valkyries brought him in his kingdom of Valhalla. He also had many famous and powerful weapons that never missed their marks, and his legendary horse that was born from Loki, named Svadilfari. He also had 2 wolves and 2 ravens that served him greatly. He died at Ragnarok, knowing it was his destiny, and was regonized as a true warrior.

Freya- The Goddess of fertility and war, was once part of the Vanir. Had a husband by the name of Od, but he died and she was said to have cried golden tears for him. She owns very precious items, just like Odin, and it is also said to be that Od was actually Odin.

Frey- Freya's twin brother, he is the God of fertility and the weather. He also ruled over the land of the Light Elves, Alfheim. The ship Skidbladnir belonged to him, which could sail in the land, air, or sea, and was big enough to handle every god's presence on it, but could be folded up and be put into a pocket.

Loki- Was actually a giant to begin with, he became Odin's blood brother and soon an Aesir. He is most commonly refered with being the god of tricks, mischief and cunning.

Hel- Hel was the daughter of Loki, and ruled the realm Niflheim (the underworld).

Thor- The god of thunder and the member of the Aesir. Was a widely worshipped god, for he was the image of the comman man. He was also the biggest enemy to the Giants.

Tyr- The one handed god of war. His right hand was bitten off from Fenris. The day of the week "Tuesday" is named after him, so even though he was looked at as being "evil", he must have been very important, also.

Ull- The god of archery. He took the place of Odin when he was exiled for ten years, until they decided to put Odin back on the throne.

Aegir- The god of the sea and ocean. He created storms when he was angered. He was a Vanir and a Giant, and was able to brew great beer. He was also noted for his great hospitality because of it.

Idun- The goddess of immortality and youthfullness. She grows the apples that keep the gods enternally young.
